This project consisted of clearing over 100 trees scattered across the VA’s property in addition to brush and overgrowth along the rear property line. In order to make room for the 70 new masonry columns and aluminum security fence, we needed to demo and remove the existing fence, regrade the perimeter of the property and upgrade the existing site drainage with new and extended RCP inlets and outlets and strategically placed rip rap. The new brick columns were fixed with new LED lighting and secured with concrete footers. The aluminum fence was lined with concrete mow strips and access is controlled by 5 wirelessly remote actuated gates. The rear of the property is secured by new chain link fencing and several strands of barbed wire. All electrical and low voltage lines were run subsurface and energized by a combination of existing and new electrical panels. Our veterans can confidently and safely peruse this expansive property and enjoy all of the outdoor amenities this facility has to offer.
