In 2005, Alex Hernandez founded Hernandez Consulting & Construction in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to help with New Orleans’ re-building efforts with the vision of “Building Great Projects for a Better Future”.
Since its inception, the company has consistently grown in both size and capabilities, expanding into adjacent service offerings and is now a leading full-service General Contractor, providing Design-Build, Construction, Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP), General Contractor – Fixed Price, Project Management, Architecture & Engineering, Design-Assist, Environmental Remediation Services and Development for both federal and local government agencies, as well as private commercial Clients.
The company is headquartered in New Orleans, LA with a satellite office in Miami, FL and has performed work in 18 states – as far west as Camp Pendleton, CA, as far north as St. Cloud, MN, as far east as Augusta, ME, and south to San Juan, PR.
With a $150 Million aggregate bonding line, the firm has project experience ranging from under $100,000 to as large as $40 Million.
More than 350 commercial and government projects completed or in progress in the first 15 years of business.
