Hernandez Consulting & Construction was the prime contractor for the renovation of the Veterans Hospital System Pharmacy in Kerrville, Texas. The renovation was a two phased process. The first phase addressed the spaces adjacent to the pharmacy: the morgue and the police offices. These were renovated to provide Inpatient Pharmacy. The original pharmacy continued to operate under normal conditions. Once phase one was complete and the inpatient pharmacy operational, the pharmacy relocated to this location and operated on a limited basis.
The second phase, the pharmacy was moved out of its existing space and into the fully operational Inpatient Pharmacy. Hernandez mobilized to complete the pharmacy restoration and the pharmacy equipment installation. After the work was complete, and the equipment was verified operational, the wall between the Inpatient Pharmacy and the outpatient Pharmacy was demolished, creating the design combination of the functions.
