Hernandez Consulting & Construction completed the renovation of 11,000 square feet of existing space on Ward 5 East at the Charles George VAMC in Asheville, NC. Hernandez completed full interior demolition of architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing down to the concrete structure, installation of new sheet rock/metal stud walls, finishes, doors/hardware, HVAC system, electrical system, and plumbing system. Electrical work included power, LED lighting, data; new mechanical work includes, air handling systems, duct work, and controls. Work also included replacement of existing window with laminate windows, installation of anti-ligature monitoring system, anti-ligature fixtures and safety devices, and camera monitoring system. Work also included installation of seismic upgrade structure materials. The project provided all private patient rooms and private shower/toilet rooms for each room. The project also provided offices and exam rooms for support staff.
