Alex Hernandez

 

Alex, the CEO and Managing Partner, established Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2005 to provide project management services to government clients. Under Alex’s leadership, the firm has grown exponentially and now actively operates in a large portion of the United States. Prior to starting Hernandez Consulting & Construction, he was an executive at Citigroup where he worked in the areas of Global Operations and Infrastructure leading various re-engineering initiatives, process improvements, and project manager roles. Alex began his career as a Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps specializing in Logistics Operations. Alex holds the company’s general contractor’s license. Alex holds both a BA Cum Laude and an MBA from Tulane University.

Tim Hawks

 

Tim joined Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2019 as the President. He brings more than 30 years of construction industry and design-build experience in federal government, commercial, multi-family, industrial, energy, renewable energy, waste water treatment plans, state and local government construction, both nationally and internationally. This includes managing the United States Air Force’s Center for Environmental Excellence building program in Iraq in 2008 and 2009 as the Director of Construction Management. Prior to coming to Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Tim’s career includes estimating, scheduling, project accounting, business development, operations and project management, Director of Operations, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer of a general/mechanical contractor in Jacksonville, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering and graduate studies in real estate and construction management.

Michael Soileau

 

Michael joined Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2018 and currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Michael served as the Vice President of Finance at Bayou Steel Group. While there, Michael created a $250 million annual budget, lead the annual audit process and ensured GAAP financial statement preparation, and he lead financial presentations and discussions at Board of Director meetings. Michael is a results-focused financial leader with experience leading teams in companies with annual revenues ranging from $30MM to $450MM. Michael has a demonstrated leadership ability in forging corporate strategy and accomplishing goals through the motivation and direction of others. He has a strong background in financial forecasting, planning, and analysis. Certified Public Accountant, MBA, BS Finance

Ruth Dunn

 

Ruth joined Hernandez Consulting in 2010 and currently serves as Vice President of Risk & Strategy.  Her role includes overseeing Risk Management, Safety, Legal, Bonding and Insurance oversight plus taking over key growth duties and management of Joint Venture Partnerships and future strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Ruth worked in Human Resources for SA IT Services, an Atlanta-based provider of IT professional and IT managed services. In her role with SA IT, Ruth and her team supported over 500 employees nationwide. Through her education and positions throughout her career, Ruth has demonstrated the skills necessary to develop Hernandez Consulting & Construction as a design and construction leader throughout the entire Gulf South region. Ruth has a BS degree from the University of Georgia.  Ruth is also a graduate of the Interise Emerging Leaders ‘Street Wise MBA’ program.

John-Michael Johnson

 

John-Michael is one of Hernandez Consulting & Construction’s most senior project managers. He joint Hernandez in 2008. His experience overseeing large commercial construction projects encompasses a variety of disciplines as he served in Senior Project Manager role prior to assuming current responsibilities. He leads Pre-Construction  Services, estimating, marketing, and business development functions. John-Michael is a native of Alexandria, LA, and graduate of Tulane University’s undergraduate School of Engineering and Masters of Business Administration program.

Jimmy Wingerter

 

Jimmy joined Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2015 and now works as the Construction & Safety Manager. His experience overseeing large commercial construction projects encompasses a variety of disciplines. Prior to joining Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Jimmy served as the Vice President of Construction Resources for Woodward Design + Build. Chief technical resource for all operations personnel and oversees corporate safety program.

Pat Davis

 

Pat joined Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2010 working his way up the project manager ranks and now works as the Operations Manager. Originally from New Jersey, Pat moved to New Orleans to attend and eventually graduate from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Management and a minor in Architectural Studies. Prior to Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Pat worked as an architectural draftsman. Pat oversees all operations, including all project managers, superintendents, and field personnel. 

Kyle Gross

 

Kyle joined Hernandez Consulting & Construction in 2017 and now works as General Counsel. Originally from New York, Kyle moved to New Orleans to attend and eventually graduate cum laude from Tulane University with a major in political science. Kyle went on to complete his Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration from Tulane University. Kyle is a licensed attorney in Louisiana. Prior to Hernandez Consulting & Construction, Kyle worked as a financial analyst at a hedge fund, Ahava Investment Partners, and worked in the municipal contracts division of the New Orleans City Attorney’s office. Kyle’s current duties include reviewing contracts, managing subcontractor disputes, improving risk management, and assisting in new business development. 

Richard Albert

 

Richard is the founder and president of Albert Architecture & Urban Design, a subsidiary of Hernandez Consulting & Construction and full-service architectural design firm with experience servicing both public and private sector clients. Richard is a hands-on principal who brings over twenty years of proven architectural experience and a strong passion for design to every project. His professional career has included work with many of the premier design groups in the Louisiana area and he has experience with a large number of property types. As a principal, he has found that most clients enjoy an active role in the architectural design process and believes that communication is key to success. Albert Architecture became a subsidiary of Hernandez Consulting in 2012.  Richard is currently the Vice President Architecture of Hernandez Consulting & Construction. He is a graduate of University of Louisiana Lafayette and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).  Richard holds architectural licenses in Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Florida.
