Hernandez Consulting & Construction is completing the design/build renovation of X-Ray Room 3 at the Togus VA Medical Center in Augusta, Maine. Our team installed the Unistrut system to the ceiling. During this project, the existing HVAC system was removed to make way for a stand-alone system specifically designed to meet the requirements for the Philips equipment. The equipment exceeds 1-ton cooling ability. All work was completed while the ceilings were open and the new system was tested and balanced upon completion of installation. Honeywell controls were connected to the new system to tie-in the controls already on site. The electrical system was upgraded with new lighting and new arrangement of electrical outlets to accommodate the Philips X-ray system. Our design team coordinated with Philips’ representatives and the installer for the requirements for the system. We added some power capacity to the system pedestal in addition to replacing/rearranging the fixture for the new bathroom and other equipment (icemaker).
