Hernandez Consulting & Construction has begun a $7M contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to restore approximately 990 acres of Bottom Land Hardwood (BLH-Dry) habitat via replanting with desired Mitigation tree species. Initial preparation of the project footprint requires removal of invasive and nuisance plant species by mechanized (clearing/removal) operations and multiple herbicidal applications. Once the eradication plan was completed, Hernandez planted a variety of natural mitigation BLF-Dry wet land species.
