Hernandez Consulting & Construction is completing building addition & extensive renovations to the existing school as part of a joint venture with Ratcliff Constructors. The project is located on a 21.12-acre site in Dallas, TX and is comprised of a new 52,937 SF building addition and extensive renovations to the existing 151,019 SF school.  Construction includes a new two-story Kinder/Elementary Wing with tornado shelter.  The New Building Shell includes drilled piers, slab on void-box/crawl space foundations, structural steel frame structure, precast concrete wall and roofing panels at the tornado shelter, masonry cavity walls, and a modified bitumen roofing assembly.  The exterior façade includes brick veneers, aluminum composite panels, glass & glazing and aluminum canopies.  Interior work includes new offices, classrooms, a media center, restrooms, and a new gymnasium. Work at the existing building includes a complete renovation to the exterior and interior of the school.   Exterior improvements include All new Aluminum Windows and Storefronts, re-painting the exterior, new Aluminum Composite Panels/Canopies, and re-coating the exiting Polyurethane Foam Roofing System. Interior renovations include a new kitchen; renovations to the cafeteria, gymnasium, and auditorium; reconfiguring classrooms; stairwell replacements; new ceilings, floors, and bathrooms; MEP Upgrades; and new PA/Security/Fire Alarm Systems. On-Site improvements include underground storm drainage, sanitary sewer and water piping systems, a new fire lane, new parking lots, site lighting, sidewalks, new irrigation and landscaping, and added sports fields.
