Hernandez Consulting is the prime contractor providing all material, labor, supervision, and expertise necessary for the construction of a new Outpatiend Mental Health Clinic and associated parking area (75 parking spaces with lighting) and walks for the VA Hospital in Alexandria, LA. Construction includes tie-ins to existing site work such as paving, walks, and structured walkways. Construction also includes roads, walks, grading, drainage, site utility systems, necessary removal of existing construction alterations and certain other items.

The VA Baton Rouge outpatient clinic at 7968 Essen Park is a the VA’s primary facility in the Baton Rouge area and has over 10,000SF of medical space. Hernandez consulting created stamped engineering designs for an emergency power system to run the facility in case of another catastrophic event. While the VA purchased the generator, The HC team reviewed current electrical system designs and created the necessary interface design with the emergency generator. Hernandez Consulting also reviewed all drawings and designs for an automatic transfer switching system connected to the generator as well as final electrical drawings for all elements in the emergency power system.
Temporary Office Renovations/Rebuild - Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE)

The Army Corps of Engineers is expanding a temporary facility located at 8800 S. Claiborne Ave. Hernandez Consulting is renovating the interior and exterior of a large temporary office structure (1,500 SF) with new flooring, fixtures ceiling and walls damaged by water leaks. The project also included building a covered ADA approved walkway from the currently existing structures to the new facility. The building also required repairs to the lighting system and HVAC including condensation drainage lines. Our team removed an old roof and replaced it with a watertight surface covering all entries and exits. Hernandez Consulting also renovated a bathroom located in the current facility that was damaged due to water. The entire project was carried out in less than 45 days.
Site Work on New and Old Temporary Office Facility - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

Hernandez Consulting ran electrical conduit lines to the new ACOE office complex located at in Marrero on Ames Blvd. This consisted of 2 days using a backhoe to trench a 3 ft. trench to the utility company stub out and connect that to the main building’s power supply. This process includes installation of an electrical box mounting system with a 5ft. Grounding rod. The second portion of this project consisted of decommissioning the ACOE west bank facility 7439 Lapalco blvd in Marrero, LA. This process included the removal of all decking and telephone poles that were on site.
